Bollywood Big B Amitabh Bachchan's grandson Agastya Nanda is set to make his theatrical debut with the war drama film 'Ikkis'. The film, directed by Sriram Raghavan and produced by Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films, is based on the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetrapal, who lost his life in the 1971 Indo-Pak war. The movie is scheduled to release in theaters worldwide on October 2, 2025, on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.
The announcement teaser for 'Ikkis' is intriguing, showcasing a telegram sent during the 1971 Battle of Basantar, announcing Khetrapal's death. The teaser is full of action, depicting scenes of Khetrapal fighting bravely along with battle scenes. Along with Agastya Nanda, senior actor Dharmendra and Paatal Lok actor Jaideep Ahlawat are also playing key roles in this film.
According to Sriram Raghavan, the film will remain grounded and won't dramatize Khetrapal's story like a superhero. The director revealed that 'Ikkis' will highlight Khetrapal's time as a young soldier who sacrificed his life for the country soon after turning 21. The film will be a bigger production, featuring tank battles and other war scenes, but it will also be a human story, a drama, and a coming-of-age kind of thing.
With its gripping storyline, impressive cast, and intense action sequences, 'Ikkis' is generating a lot of interest among the audience and the film community. Agastya Nanda's theatrical debut is highly anticipated, and the film's release on October 2, 2025, is eagerly awaited by fans.
