AP Dy CM Pawan Kalyan explodes on Tollywood

In a sensational development, AP Dy CM Pawan Kalyan who is known for his cool demur fired on all cylinders on Tollywood. It is known that during YSRCP regime and with Jagan as CM, his films were targeted by the then AP government.

Now, many thought that with him in power and being the Dy CM of AP, his period entertainer Hari Hara Veera Mallu will have a smooth release on 12 June 2025. However, out of nowhere, exhibitors and distributors started threatening to close the theatres across two Telugu states starting from 1 June 2025 demanding resolution of various problems, main being , implementation of profit sharing by doing away with the existing rental system.

He sarcastically targeted thanking Tollywood for the return gift and added “I will accept this ‘return gift’ from the industry in an appropriate manner.”  He also made it clear that from now on he will not entertain any personal meetings with the Tollywood celebrities for increase in ticket rates and other things.

He questioned why the Tollywood biggies did not meet the newly elected AP CM Chandra Babu Naidu even after one year of completion.

Earlier AP Cinematography Minister Durgesh ordered an inquiry as to who ordered theatres shutdown and also termed it as a conspiracy against Pawan Kalyan's Hari Hara Veera Mallu. Many felt the influential few  Dil Raju, Allu Aravind, Suresh Babu, Supriya, China Babu, Naveen Yerneni, Ashwini Dutt are behind these current developments.
