Harshavardhan Rane on being National Crush. Harshavardhan Rane made his debut in Tollywood with Thakita Thakita (2010), and went on to make his hindi film debut with Sanam Teri Kasam (2016). Of late he is concentrating on Bollywood and he was last seen in Haseena Dilruba. He is now starring in Deewaniyat and Kun Faya Kun.
Many of his fans, bowled by his looks are calling him National Crush. Reacting to it, he said “The National Crush tag is not an authorised tag, I will only accept such a tag if it comes from the government. The idea of a National Crush is more of an Instagram trend, and it changes every few months. It’s flattering, of course, but I don’t want to be someone who comes and goes with trends. I want to be evergreen. I want people to connect with me, my work, my movies and characters always.”
He also shared “When I first entered the industry, I had a huge crush on Sridevi and Tabu. That’s for life. It’s not about trends; it’s about timeless admiration. That’s the kind of impact I want to have, too.”
