Why Venu Yeldandi behaving like this for Yellamma?  Venu Yeldandi created a sensation on debut with his film Balagam. The film established himself as the creative director and the way he highlighted the emotions in the rural and rustic backdrop of Telangana and also its rich customs and traditions, won the appreciation of all.

People got excited when he announced his next Yellamma. The project turned bigger with the entry of Dil Raju who is set to bankroll the project under his Sri Venkateswara Creations banner. The makers first planned to cast Nani and though Nani was interested, he opted out feeling that he did intense films like HIT3 and his Paradise also is intense. They then roped in Nithiin.

Yellamma highlights the powers of the village Goddess and revolves around group of singers from backward classes and the happenings in their lives. The makers first planned to rope in Sai Pallavi but she opted out due to her other commitments. The same happened with Keerthy Suresh.

This is making people wonder why Venu Yeldandi is running after top stars. He is failing to realise that Balagam did not have known star cast but still the film due to his strong content and emotional connect turned out to be blockbuster. He should show the same confidence in the story of Yellamma and go ahead with the actors who are apt for the roles.

Yellamma has no elevations and no commercial elements and as Venu has clarity on his story, he should refrain from having top stars as it may hamper his creativity as the stars may suggest changes in the script. Nithiin opted out of the project and Nithiin is keen to do it. The question is will Nithiin be able to do justice for the de-glam role.

The makers are considering Sreeleela for the female lead. But they stopped the idea as Sreeleela's recent films did not do well at the box office. Sreeleela is yet to prove herself as an actress though she got good looks and is a talented dancer. Why Venu Yeldandi is not showing same confidence on Yellamma just like he did for Balagam and proceed with the newcomers.

One shouldn't forget how newbee Vaishnavi Chaitanya stole the show in Baby, Ananya Nagalla who proved her talent with Mallesam and Kakinada Sridevi did it with The Court. Venu Yeldani may find it difficult to dictate terms to actresses like Samantha, Anushka,Trisha, Tamannaah or Nayanthara or other language beauties Malavika Mohanan, Mamitha Baiju,Saptami Gowda, Nithya Menen,Aishwarya Rajesh, Meenakshi Chaudhary and others. Venu Yeldandi should show confidence on the story and the cast he gets and take forward Yellamma.
