Puli & Khaleja: The Work of Patchworks

‘Komaram Puli’ has already reached the shed folding its tail while ‘Khaleja’ is checking its fate at BO with each passing day. Both the films produced by Singanamala Ramesh Babu straight away prove a point that, delayed projects can never have acceptance of all the sections of audience. Obviously three years of period is very high for any star hero and given the craze for Power Star and Prince; audience expectations reached all time high on these projects.

Unfortunately, if ‘Puli’ is declared a total dud from first day of release; ‘Khaleja’ is still going fine with divided talk (may reach the shores of an average movie). The main drawbacks analyzed in both these movies would be the long time that Producer took in completion. If ‘Puli’ is a project that could have been completed in two months, ‘Khaleja’ may at most need three months. Extension of schedules will attract changes in script from time to time creating an opinion of patchwork cinema missing the compatibility and free flow of emotions from scene to scene. Both ‘Puli’ and ‘Khaleja’ faltered in this aspect and these movies resemble an artistic work of patchworks but not a full fledged cinema as what we expect from heroes like Pawan or Mahesh.
