Who is the winner: Shankar or Rajini or Sun?

Indian Film Industry is staring at one name for now and will continue to stare for few more days…and that’s for the moment is ‘Robot.’ A masterpiece ever seen on Indian cinema is the unanimous verdict given by not only South cine analysts but also in Bollywood, who usually doesn’t accept our South credit that easily.

The first question that would spring up after watching the success reports of ‘Robot’ is, who should be credited first for ‘Robot/Endhiran’? Of course only three names to mention, Shankar or Rajini or Kalanithi Maran of Sun Pictures? 

Observing it from a cumulative view of point of all three; it is not an easy task for Shankar to win the acceptance from a Star like Rajiniknath for a Sci-Fi concept like this with thumbs down already shown by Shahrukh Khan and Kamal Hasan. To win the acceptance of Kalanithi Maran to spend such a whopping budget of Rs.160 to 170 Crores on a movie requires the visionary explanation of concept and story where Shankar succeeded more than the expected. With Rajini and Sun Pictures into his ‘Robot’ bag, Shankar’s tensions could have surely tripled in his struggle for bringing an output that would match their standards, anything less than the expected would throw Sun Pictures into a dustbin. 

The way Shankar handled the ‘Robot;’ the confidence and conviction Maran has shown in Rajini and Shankar; the amount of hard work put in by Rajini at this age of 60 still thriving for perfection have made all of them the real and clear winners. 

‘Robot’ can be rightly called as the sketch of Rajini drawn on a magnanimous canvas of Sun Pictures by a visionary technician named Shankar.
