Fans make fun of Kiara accent at Cannes. Kiara Advani made a stunning appearance at the Red Sea Film Foundation's Women in Cinema gala dinner during the Cannes Film Festival, captivating attention with her elegant pink and black gown. However, it wasn't just her attire that caught the eye; a video of her interview on the red carpet has sparked a debate online about her seemingly adopted accent.

While speaking about the honor of being invited to Cannes, marking her 10th year in the industry, Kiara's use of phrases like "very, very humbling" and "at a very special moment" with a distinctly American pronunciation has left fans questioning her choice.

Social media exploded with reactions, with some expressing confusion and others criticizing her perceived attempt at a new accent. Tweets ranged from playful warnings ("Bollywood twt is coming to talk about your accent… RUN, Kiara RUN") to more pointed remarks questioning the need to alter her natural voice.

Beyond the accent controversy, Kiara participated in a panel discussion with other women in the entertainment industry, discussing her career and upcoming projects. She is currently gearing up for the release of "Game Changer," a political action thriller starring Ram Charan and directed by S. Shankar.

The actress is also set to join the YRF spy universe in "WAR 2," alongside Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR, and is lined up for "Don 3" with Ranveer Singh. Additionally, rumors suggest she might be starring opposite Yash in "Toxic."

Kiara's Cannes appearance, while undoubtedly glamorous, has ignited a conversation about accent appropriation and the pressures faced by actors in the industry.  While some see it as a harmless stylistic choice, others perceive it as a disconnect from her cultural identity.  Only time will tell if this becomes a recurring trend in her public persona.
