Sandalwood director is arrested for threatening top star Kichcha Sudeep. It is known that Kichcha Sudeep received death threats a month back when it came out that he will be entering politics and campaigning for the ruling BJP in the upcoming Karnataka elections. It is known that Kichcha Sudeep shares a good relationship with Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai.
At that time, Kichcha Sudeep also said "Yes, I have received a threat letter and I know who sent it to me. I know who the letter is from. It is from someone in the film industry. I will give a befitting reply to them. I will work in favor of those who stand by my side in my tough times,"
Now, reports are coming that a director named Ramesh Kitty was arrested regarding the threatening letter to Sudeep. CCB officials arrested and detained Ramesh Kitty, a close aide of Sudeep. Though people believe that the threat was politically motivated, police, however, say that a monetary dispute could be the reason for the threatening letter.
Ramesh Kitty alleged that Sudeep defrauded him Rs 2crs and so he sent a threatening letter. Police however are continuing their investigation as they strongly believe that there could be more parties involved in the death threats to Sudeep.
