On most occasions, Umair Sandhu's reviews turned out to be false but since Umair Sandhu's reviews come well ahead, Indian media give importance to them.
Longtime back it was found that there was none by the name Umair Sandhu in the UAE censor board and many genuine websites like Cinejosh stopped giving credence to the person. Now renowned trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh, proved Cinejosh right by exposing Umair Sandhu.
Umair Sandhu came up with Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan review five days ahead of its release. Umair Sandhu posted "“Pathaan is a high-octane Action thriller that works big time. This one has style and substance, both, besides dazzling action, stunning international locales and stylish execution. Most importantly, it has #ShahRukhKhan, the trump card of his enterprise." and went on to give 5 stars to Pathaan.
Taran Adarsh however exposed him completely, saying "STOP THIS NONSENSE… You have copy pasted my review of #EkThaTiger [2012] as it is and used it for your ‘review’ of #Pathaan… Here’s the link to my #EkThaTiger review,” and even shared the link. Caught redhanded Umair Sandhu deleted the review but the damage has been done as he was exposed completely and now none are following his review on Pathaan.
