Popular South Indian actor Suman's unanticipated meeting with Union Law Minister Veerappa Moily at the Lakeview Guest House in Hyderabad on Sunday triggered speculations that he would soon kick start his second innings in politics by joining the Congress. However, after the 15-minute meeting, the actor told reporters that he had come to congratulate the Minister on his election to the Lok Sabha from Mangalore.
While stating that he was impressed by the Congress’ performance, including welfare and development works in the State, Suman clarified that he had no intention to join the party now. But he would consider supporting it if party leaders felt his services were needed in the South.
