Lakshmi’s NTR, Another Jolt To RGV

AP High Court On Lakshmi's NTR

RGV's controversial film Lakshmi's NTR which showed AP CM Chandra Babu Naidu as the main backstabber of Sr NTR, hit the screens across the world last week and generated good response among movie lovers. However the makers got a huge shock when AP High Court stayed the film release, directing a special screening before they could arrive at the final judgment. High Court also made it clear that the makers can release the film after elections on April 11th.

The petition came for hearing in AP High Court today and the court postponed their decision for April 9th. Thus, the film will not hit the screens in Andhra Pradesh before the elections that are scheduled for April 11th.

Recently, Ram Gopal Varma and producer Rakesh Reddy approached Supreme Court as they felt that the judgment was illogical and cited earlier Supreme Court order which said that a film's release cannot stay once it was censored. However, the Supreme Court bench headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi gave a huge shock to the producers refusing an urgent hearing.
