The biopic on legendary actor, former CM of Andhra Pradesh NTR undertaken by his son, Natasimha Balakrishna in a prestigious manner is becoming the talk of the T-Town. The makers are roping in top stars for the roles of legends in the biopic. All eyes are on who would star as legendary actress Savitri in the biopic. Till recently many expected that Keerthy Suresh who cast a magic spell as Savitri in her biopic Mahanati would play the role.
However, much to the surprise of all, the makers cast Nithya Menon for the role. Inside talk is Krish felt Nithya's looks and body language would suit Savitri's demur. Currently the makers are shooting key scenes involving Balakrishna as NTR and Nithya Menon as Savitri.
The film stars Vidya Balan as Basavatarakam, Aamani as Lakshmi Parvathi, Mokshagna as young NTR, Rana as Chandra Babu Naidu, Manjima Mohan as Bhuvaneswari, Bharat Reddy as Daggubati Venkateswara Rao, Sumanth as ANR, Sachin Khedekar as Nadendla Bhaskara Rao, Mahesh Babu as Krishna, Rakul Preet Singh as Sridevi, Raashi Khanna as Jaya Prada.
It is known that, Nithya Menon rejected Balakrishna couple of times. The actress was indeed original choice for Mahanati. But, she rejected the film owing to unknown reasons.
