Adult star Sunny Leone is running away with prestigious offers one by one. Off late, Bollywood was buzzing about casting Vidya Balan to play the lead role in legendary actress Meena Kumari biopic but latest we heard is Sunny Leone replaced her and director Karan Razan is officially out with the further update.
‘I think there is only one heroine who is courageous enough to take up the role and said me, “when can we start this film” is Sunny Leone. In fact, I narrated the script to both Madhuri Dixit and Vidya Balan but the script did not work for one reason or the other.
Then Sunny came along when she heard about the film and wanted a narration. Then I met her and we had a long narration. She is not the ideal choice for character and I know this but she was enthusiastic to take up the role. I think she also saw this as her big chance,’ said Razdan who wrote scripts for hit films like Deewane and Diljale and few more.
Historically, Meena Kumari is an incomparable actress who had a prosperous career was marred by heavy drinking and troubled relationships ultimately led to untimely death from liver cirrhosis in 1972. She is often known as The Tragedy Queen and Cinderella of the Indian films.
