Is Dr Bavaguthu Raghuram Shetty (Dr BR Shetty), a UAE based businessman born in Madras Presidency of British India is running away with Rajamouli’s dream project of making Mahabharatha as an epic film? Yes, official sources from Mumbai business circles confirmed news that serial entrepreneur BR Shetty is ready to invest Rs.1,000 Crore ($ 150 million) to produce the biggest ever motion picture to be directed by noted ad film maker VA Shrikumar Menon in two parts.
Mahabharata will be made in two parts scheduled to go on floors by September 2018 and release in early 2020 with 90 days gap between two parts. Primarily, the film will be made in English, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam languages and will be released in other languages as dubbed version.
Given the lavish budget, big names like Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth, Mohan Lal, Prabhas are expected to play top leads while technical crew would include greatest names in the world cinema.
