Bollywood is following the trend of remaking 1980 and 90s hit films to match with the tastes of current generation audience. Currently, the buzz is all about one of the most memorable movies of 1980s that is ‘Ram Lakhan’ is all set for a remake. Starring Jackie Shroff and Anil Kapoor in title roles, the film directed by Subhash Ghai has seen a phenomenal success in those times.
Though times might have changed, the importance of family emotions, drama therein or romance, action have been the ruling elements in deciding the Box Office success. So, Karan Johar and Subhash Ghai have come forward with ‘Ram Lakhan’ remake proposal. Rohit Shetty is also confirmed as director while Shahid Kapoor, Ranveer Singh are roped to reprise Jackie Shroff and Anil Kapoor roles.
This is an interesting combination of four top most Bollywood names getting associated with one remake project. ‘Ram Lakhan’ was released some 25 years ago but its essence still remains in market demand. That’s the beauty of classics.
