The strength and magic in name of Power Star was not the alone reason for ‘Aththarintiki Daaredi’ to break the top industry records. It’s the timing of release and the sentiment factor worked in its favor. As debate of this movie crossing 100 Crores mark is still to reach a conclusion, every one has willfully agreed the film as biggest hit of Telugu cinema beating ‘Magadheera’ achievements. While, it took nearly four years for Ramcharan’s records to shift into second position, current speed of Mahesh Babu and Ramcharan is making many assume that ‘AD’ may not stay on top for more than a year or two.
The present threat for Power Star lies in the form of Mahesh Babu ‘1 Nenokkadine’ and Ramcharan ‘Yevadu.’ Both are made in a new genre with refreshing appeal for Telugu public. However others say that, it is not going to be as much easier as what we are speculating on ‘AD’ stepping down to second. Next one year or so, we have to wait and see… whether Pawan will break his own records with ‘GS 2’ or any other hero?
