Sequels are not to new to South film industry but making them stand as big hits like their prequels is new and rare in this part of India. As many sequels failed to recreate the magic at BO, producers are hesitant to work on such projects. When announced the sequel to ‘Yamudu’ as ‘Singham Yamudu 2,’ obviously there would have been apprehensions for director Hari and hero Suriya on how match the standards with prequel.
‘No, I was confident because the first part was a commercial blockbuster. Even I never expected this kind of superb openings in Andhra Pradesh. You people were kind to me. This is a special film because it is floored by my own family members. While my mother smiled for the first time after enjoying the movie, my wife Jyothika clapped while watching in theatre,’ a happy Suriya said.
