Away from financial troubles and the missing of rapport between hero Nagarjuna cum producer Dr. Venkat, here is new trouble for ‘Damarukam.’ This film is in making stages from a long time with highest ever budget invested on Nag’s socio fantasy flick, directed by Srinivas Reddy with Anushka as heroine. As per media correspondents, ‘Damarukam’ was the title actually registered by a group of amateur film makers who have begun the shoot and completed half of the film based on social issues.
Pramod Kumar is Producer and Navin Kalyan is director who registered ‘Damarukam’ title in Film Chamber on the name of Aarnav Production banner in 2008. Later on they paid money for two years of title renewal. Due to financial hurdles and an accident to producer, shooting was halted for an year. With RR Movie Makers having announced the film with same ‘Damarukam’ as title, they are literally in shock and approached Film Chamber with nothing of an outcome in their favor.
Film Chamber Officials say, Pramod and Navin failed to renewal the title and did not report the Chamber on progress of their film. Thus, the same tile has been transferred to RR Movie Makers. However, Aarnav Productions are planning to go for a legal course of action to retain their title. Some say that, ‘Damarukam’ was registered by Aarnav while RR Movie Makers are coming with ‘Dhamarukam.’ There is a difference of alphabet ‘h’ in both the titles.
