Vijay goes on a temple sojourn. There is silence before storm in Tamil Nadu with the elections completed and all the parties waiting for the counting day.
All the parties are keeping their fingers crossed. In the meantime, Vijay chief of TVK visited the Tiruchendur Murugan temple in Tamil Nadu and offered his prayers.
He took a late night private flight from Chennai to Madurai and though he kept it as a secret and despite the late hour, many thronged to see him at the Madurai airport. Vijay acknowledged the crowd by waving and briefly standing through his car’s sunroof. Dressed in a traditional silk veshti and shirt, departing from his usual white shirt and trousers, he kept his appearance simple. Police had to step in to manage the crowd as his vehicle faced delays while exiting the airport.
From Madurai, Vijay travelled by road to Tiruchendur, reaching the temple early in the morning. He participated in the special Viswaroopa darshan and offered prayers. Temple authorities welcomed him warmly and presented him with a sacred ‘Vel’ as a mark of respect. Many people who were at the temple, praised Vijay for his calm and composed demur waiting for his turn rather than rushing the proceedings.
