The Delhi High Court has come down hard on people misusing Allu Arjun’s identity. Justice Tushar Rao Gedela passed an interim order stopping several entities from using the Pushpa star’s name, voice, photo, or any of his unique traits for money or fake content. The court said Allu Arjun isn’t just a star he’s an icon with a “stellar career,” and his dialogues, style, and image are instantly recognizable. Because of that, only he has the right to decide how they’re used. The judge made it clear that if this wasn’t stopped now, the actor could face serious, permanent damage to his reputation.
The order specifically bans using Allu Arjun’s identity through AI, deepfakes, voice cloning, face morphing, chatbots, or even merchandise without his permission. That includes websites, social media, the metaverse basically anywhere online or offline. The court also told platforms to take down the infringing content right away. Senior advocate Swathi Sukumar, arguing for Allu Arjun, said his face and voice were being used to sell fake products, run AI chatbots, and even create obscene content.
Allu Arjun isn’t the only one fighting this battle. In the last year, the Delhi HC has given similar protection to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Salman Khan, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Sudhir Chaudhary, Raj Shamani, Gautam Gambhir, Sonakshi Sinha, and Vivek Oberoi. With AI and deepfakes getting out of hand, celebs are rushing to court to protect their name and likeness. The court noted that Allu Arjun even has trademarks on his name and abbreviations, which makes the case stronger.
This ruling is a big win for stars dealing with fake ads, scam pages, and AI clones. It sends a message that your face, voice, and fame aren’t free for anyone to use. For Allu Arjun fans, it means no more fake Pushpa merch or AI-generated dialogues without the real star’s say.
