During one of his meetings he fell sick and he rushed to the hospital. On the advice of the doctors, he underwent surgery. Following the surgery, doctors adviced him ten days rest.

Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena President Shri Pawan Kalyan underwent surgery on Saturday evening. He fell seriously ill while discussing administrative matters with his officials on Friday morning. He has been having health problems for the past few months. Due to this, he canceled his official functions on Friday on the advice of his personal doctors and went to the hospital. Along with medical tests, an MRI was also conducted there. After examining them, the doctors decided that he would need surgery and performed the surgery. The doctors said that he would be able to participate in official functions after a week to ten days of rest. However, the doctors said that he would have to take proper precautions for a long time and that it would take a long time to recover completely.
