Akshay and Anand L Rai project Gorkha shelved. Akshay Kumar-Priyadarshan's Bhoot Bangla hit the screens today and it is entertaining movie lovers. In the meantime, during the promotions Akshay Kumar, shared that his prestigious project with Anand L Rai titled Gorkha got shelved.
The project was supposed to be helmed by Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan, Gorkha was to shed light on the supreme heroics of Major General Ian Cardozo in the 1971 India-Pakistan war.
Anand L Rai earlier said “Yes, it is true. We are not making this film for now. There are technical issues. There are factual clarifications that need to be made.”
In the meantime, Bhoot Bangla directed by Priyadarshan starred Tabu, Wamiqa Gabbi, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, and Mithila Palkar in important roles. Akshay Kumar is pinning all his hopes on this film as his previous films didnot do well.
