Ever since Rajamouli's magnum opus Baahubali created a sensation, the makers planned interesting spin offs.
Last year, the two parts Baahubali The Beginning annd Baahubali The Conclusion, released as a single entity as Baahubali-The Epic and it got good response.
Now, animation film Baahubali-The Eternal War is generating interest among movie lovers. The film is a two part saga and is helmed by animation filmmaker Ishan Shukla and it is bankrolled on Arka Media banner.
Shobu Yarlagadda penned, “We have been working for nearly two years with animation filmmaker Ishan Shukla on this project based in the Baahubali universe.” He also informed that its a two-part stylised 3D animation film series, titled Baahubali — The Eternal War, adding that its being made in collaboration with Indian and international studios and creative teams. “Our vision is to offer the first-of-its-kind animation film from India!”
Rajamouli said “Ishan came and told the story of how we can extend the Baahubali world into something else. It is still the Baahubali characters in that space, but taken completely into a different tangent.”
Now, Baahubali The Eternal War along with ‘Snoopy Unleashed’, Netflix’s ‘Steps’ & Season Two Of ‘Common Side Effects’ will be showcased in the Annecy International Film Festival’s Work in Progress (WIP) lineup in June.
Baahubali The Eternal War follows murdered Prince Baahubali as he enters the afterlife and joins an eternal war across 14 realms between Devas and Asuras, personifications of Order and Chaos, with his destiny reshaping the cosmos forever.Scott Mosier provided the screenplay for the film.
