Vijay Blames Tamil Nadu Government for Jana Nayagan Issue

Vijay On JanaNayagan Delay

Vijay, who launched Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), has blamed the Tamil Nadu government for delaying the release of his film Jana Nayagan. Speaking at a TVK meeting, Vijay expressed frustration, stating that the government has been trying to suppress his film through various means.

During his speech, Vijay said, "They have banned #Jananayagan, but I didn't get disturbed. Next, they passed SOP, but it didn't work out. And lastly, they came up with allegations against me during the election period, but that didn't work either." Vijay's remarks come amid mounting pressure ahead of the 2026 Assembly elections.

The delay of Jana Nayagan is believed to be driven by political targeting surrounding Vijay's entry into Tamil Nadu politics. Fans allege that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) was intimidated by the ruling DMK party, with some claiming BJP involvement. Vijay has faced multiple setbacks, including personal allegations and political hurdles, affecting the film's original January 2026 release date.
