Reason Behind Dacoit Being A Hindi and Telugu Bilingual

Adivi Sesh Reveals Why Dacoit Is A Bilingual

Adivi Sesh, star of the upcoming film Dacoit: Ek Prem Katha, revealed that Akshay Kumar's 2018 film Pad Man inspired him to make Dacoit a bilingual project, shot in both Telugu and Hindi. Sesh explained that he wanted to showcase a story from Andhra Pradesh-Karnataka border to a Hindi audience without compromising on authenticity.

The film's story revolves around a man wrongfully imprisoned, seeking revenge against the woman who betrayed him, but torn between vengeance and compassion. Adivi Sesh, Mrunal Thakur, and Anurag Kashyap star in this intense drama, releasing on April 10.

Sesh emphasized capturing cultural nuances, tweaking the song "Chichubuddi" to "Touch Buddy" for the Hindi audience, blending Bhojpuri and urban flavors. He believes language is emotion, and dubbed versions can lose essence, so he opted for simultaneous bilingual shooting.
