Ranbir shares deets about Ramayana duration. Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi's Epic Ramayana directed by Nitesh Tiwari has been the cynosure of all eyes. The film is releasing in two parts and the first part is releasing during Diwali 2026 and second part during Diwali 2027.
The teaser was released couple of days back it got mixed reviews from all quarters. Ranbir speaking to scribes shared that the duration of two parts came over 6 hours and already half of the second part shoot has been completed.
Ranbir said “Ramayana is nothing less than 'Lord of the Rings', you know, it's our greatest epic spectacle coming from our country, and this was just a teaser." He went on to elaborate, "We have six hours of epic visuals and epic action sequences, emotions. It teaches you to be a better son, a better husband, a better brother, you know, it's the triumph of good over evil. There is so many different layers of storytelling happening with this film that I'm really excited for people to sample it."
About the second part, he says "We are already done halfway filming Part 2, at least my portion. It's even more exciting than what you guys have seen (in the teaser)." The film is made with a whopping budget of Rs 4000crs.
He also shared details about his role. He said, “Lord Vishnu had different avatars. Lord Rama was an avatar, and Lord Parshurama was an avatar before Lord Rama.”
Ranbir added, “Just to get the opportunity, you know, how I got to play Lord Rama, to also play Lord Parshurama was fantastic. I think as an actor, apart from body language, I think if you deeply understand the spirituality and the emotionality of the characters, I think everything starts from there. I think that’s what I did the year leading up to the shoot of Ramayana, to understand who these people and characters are, what they stand for and what their motives are.”
