MAA furious as MLA insults Stars. Telangana MLA J. Anirudh Reddy speaking at the event said that top stars like Chiranjeevi, Nandamuri Balakrishna, and Pawan Kalyan will influence their fans in a negative manner and suggested that they should undergo tests every 90 days and set an example.
This turned Tollywood furious and MAA came up with the following statement. MAA president and actor Vishnu Manchu took to X and wrote, “Good suggestion. Now just wondering — what’s the equivalent test before filing a nomination for elections? I am sure voters would be happy to collaborate on a common framework with the respected MLA.”
MAA Vice President Madala Ravi also condemned the remarks, saying “Many actors have been honoured with prestigious awards like the Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan. They are educated, disciplined, and respected individuals who lead dignified professional lives.”
He questioned. “How can someone make such sweeping statements without understanding the scale and impact of Telugu cinema? Would he agree if we said all politicians are corrupt just because of a few?”
He pointed “We worked together to raise awareness against drug abuse, with actors like Vijay Deverakonda participating in campaigns. Even stars like Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan have urged youth to stay away from harmful substances, and our fight against drugs would continue till the menace is eliminated.”
