Vijay Sethupathi to Play a Cop In Arasan

Arasan Set to Release This Diwali

The highly anticipated Tamil film Arasan, directed by Vetri Maaran and starring Silambarasan, is gearing up for a Diwali release. Reports suggest that the film will hit theaters on the festive weekend, potentially competing with Karthi's Marshall at the box office.

Vijay Sethupathi is set to play a police officer in Arasan, adding to the film's excitement. The cast also includes Andrea Jeremiah, Samuthirakani, and Yogalakshmi, with Vikranth and Kamalesh Jagan reportedly joining the crew. The film is a spin-off from Vetri Maaran's critically acclaimed Vada Chennai, exploring characters and events from the same universe.

The makers are yet to reveal further details about the film, including its plot and technical crew. However, with Silambarasan playing dual roles as a youngster and an aged man, expectations are running high. Anirudh Ravichander is handling the music, marking his first collaboration with Vetri Maaran.
