Vir Hirani, son of acclaimed filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani, is set to make his big-screen debut in a romantic comedy titled Lagan Lagi Re, directed by Sonali Rattan Deshmukh. The film, set in a small town in India, features two newcomers paired opposite each other and promises a heartwarming narrative.
Lagan Lagi Re marks another milestone in Vir Hirani's burgeoning career, following his work as an assistant director on his father's film Sanju. Deshmukh, who has previously worked on Tum Mile, Jannat, and Shiddat, brings her expertise to the project. Her directorial Sarvagunn Sampann, featuring Vaani Kapoor, is yet to be released.
Upcoming Projects and Career Progression
In addition to Lagan Lagi Re, Vir Hirani is set to make his OTT debut with the JioHotstar show Pritam Pedro, a cybercrime thriller featuring Arshad Warsi and Vikrant Massey. The series, with Rajkumar Hirani as showrunner, showcases Vir's versatility as an actor.
Vir Hirani is also making his acting debut in a play called Letters from Suresh, directed by Feroze Abbas Khan. A graduate of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA), Vir has been making short films since his teenage years, including Return Gift, which premiered at the International Children's Film Festival of India.
