Big budget films like Baahubali, KGF and Ponniyin Selvan (200+ days) took years to release its next part.
On the other hand, Gangs of Wasseypur (47 day gap) is one of the most famous examples, with its sequel Gangs of Wasseypur Part 2 released just 47 days apart in 2012. Rakta Charitra (42 day gap) is another example, with its sequel Rakta Charitra 2 released just 42 days apart in 2010.
