Paid premiere shows for Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar 2 in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana have been cancelled due to unavailability of regional language content. The Hindi version will replace the regional shows, with theatres refunding ticket amounts.
The cancellation happened hours before the scheduled 5:30 pm premiere, citing unavailability of the second half of the Tamil and Telugu versions. Only the first half content was received, leading to the last-minute change.
The delay stems from a holdup in delivering regional content to theatres, with the Hindi version only arriving an hour ago. Dubbing work for Tamil and Telugu versions isn't complete, causing the premiere cancellation.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar 2 is highly anticipated, releasing globally on March 19, coinciding with Eid weekend. The film boasts a star-studded cast, including Ranveer Singh, Sara Arjun, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal. Despite technical hurdles, excitement remains high for the film.
