Prasad's Multiplex is set to elevate Hyderabad's cinema scene with a state-of-the-art HDR screen powered by Barco technology. The iconic theater's Screen 4 is reopening with cutting-edge projection capabilities, offering viewers an immersive experience.
The HDR by Barco technology uses patented "light steering" innovation, redistributing light to deliver over 6x brighter images than traditional systems. This creates greater depth, clarity, and dynamic range, retaining rich details in darker scenes.
Hyderabad now boasts two HDR-equipped screens, with AMB Cinemas recently renovating its Screen 1 with the same technology. Prasad's Screen 4 features a FLAT format, while AMB Screen 1 uses Scope format, giving audiences multiple HDR viewing options.
Barco and Prasad Film Labs launched India's first HDR colour grading facility in Chennai last year, laying the groundwork for premium cinema experiences. These upgrades solidify Hyderabad's position as a hub for premium theatrical experiences in South India.
