KD-The Devil gets shock from NHRC. Dhruva Sarja's KD-The Devil directed by Prem is releasing on 30 April 2026 in all languages. The film stars Kicha Sudeep, Sanjay Dutt, Shilpa Shetty, V. Ravichandran, Ramesh Aravind, Reeshma Nanaiah, Jisshu Sengupta and Nora Fatehi in important roles.
The makers released the song Sarse Ninna Seraga Sarse (Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke in the Hindi version of the film) and the lyrics created a huge controversy for its vulgarity. The song Sarse Ninna Seraga Sarse is set against a dance bar backdrop with Nora Fatehi, clad in a ghagra choli, dancing around men. The song's hook step involving her pallu went viral online.
Human Rights Commission member reacts Priyank Kanungo, a member of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) condemned the song and its content. On March 16, he was questioned about the song. To which, he said, "Who can sit with their civilised family and watch this?" Reports suggest that the commission have issued notices to the makers on the basis of the song.
Filmmaker Onir reacted to the song, calling it rubbish. In an X post, he wrote, "And the Censor board is busy with the naming of a film #GhooskhorPandat. Strange country we are becoming....opposing Valentines day celebration, interfaith marriage/celebration while ok with this rubbish (sic)."
