Dhurandhar 2 Advance Booking Breaks Bollywood Premiere Record

Can Dhurandhar 2 Beat OG Record

Dhurandhar 2's advance booking is creating waves in the film industry, with the Ranveer Singh starrer already setting a new Bollywood premiere record. The film's pre-release journey has started on an impressive note, with early ticket sales indicating extreme excitement among audiences. Dhurandhar: The Revenge, the second part of last year's blockbuster Dhurandhar, is directed by Aditya Dhar and is scheduled to release worldwide on March 19, 2026, with paid preview shows on March 18.

The film's advance booking has already crossed Rs 12.29 crore in gross collections from premiere shows across India, with over 2.06 lakh tickets sold so far. When blocked seats are included, the total pre-sales for the premiere shows rise to around Rs 18.1 crore. The Hindi version is leading the sales, earning about Rs 12.07 crore from nearly 1.94 lakh tickets sold. International markets are also showing strong interest, with the US alone selling over 38,500 tickets across 550 locations, totaling around $618,911 (approximately Rs 5.15 crore).

Dhurandhar 2 has already created the biggest Bollywood premiere record, surpassing Stree 2's Rs 10 crore gross from paid preview shows. However, the next target is bigger - the paid preview record in India held by OG, starring Pawan Kalyan, which earned around Rs 25 crore from its premiere shows. Trade analysts are watching closely to see if Dhurandhar 2 can reach or surpass this milestone.

The film's strong response is attributed to the massive popularity of the first film, which became the highest-grossing film of 2025 and the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time. The recently released trailer has increased excitement among fans, and the film's ensemble cast, including Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, and R. Madhavan, adds to the anticipation. With the festive window of Eid, Gudi Padwa, and Ugadi approaching, Dhurandhar 2 has a perfect release period to attract large audiences. Will it be able to beat OG's record and become the highest-grossing premiere show in India, let's see.
