Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan has made a significant investment in Ayodhya, acquiring a 2.67-acre land parcel from The House of Abhinandan Lodha (HoABL) for ₹35 crore. This marks his third investment in the city, showcasing his confidence in Ayodhya's growing real estate market.
Amitabh Bachchan's latest purchase is located near HoABL's 75-acre The Sarayu project, a luxury mixed-use enclave. Previously, he invested in a 25,000 sq ft plot near The Sarayu for ₹40 crore in May 2025 and a 10,000 sq ft plot within the same project for ₹14.5 crore in 2024. He also owns a 10,000 sq ft land parcel in HoABL's Sol de Alibaug project, worth ₹10 crore.
Abhinandan Lodha, Chairman of HoABL, praised Bachchan's investment, stating it reflects a shared belief in land as an intergenerational asset. He emphasized Ayodhya's growing significance, driven by infrastructure projects like the international airport expansion.
Ayodhya's real estate market is witnessing a major transformation, with land prices recording a 19% compound annual growth rate. Projections suggest this rate could rise to 25% by 2035, driven by spiritual tourism and long-term investment. Bachchan's investment underscores Ayodhya's potential as a prime destination for real estate investment.
