Tamil actor Ajith Kumar is currently stranded in Dubai due to travel disruptions caused by the escalating conflict between the United States and Iran. The actor, who was in Abu Dhabi for intensive racing training, is unable to return to Chennai as flights from the UAE have been suspended.
Ajith's manager has confirmed that the actor is safe and will return home once flight operations resume. "He is safe and in good health," the manager said, adding that Ajith is waiting for the situation to normalize. The actor had been preparing for upcoming international racing events and recently participated in the 2025 24H Dubai endurance race.
The conflict between the US and Iran has led to the temporary shutdown of airspace in some Middle East areas, resulting in multiple flight cancellations and diversions. Major airports in Dubai and Abu Dhabi have suspended operations, and airlines like Emirates, Etihad Airways, and flydubai have halted services.
Ajith passion for racing has taken him to global platforms, and he has been promoting professional racing in India, encouraging young talent to take up motorsports. Ajith has received support from his peers in the Tamil film industry, including Sivakarthikeyan, Nayanthara, R Madhavan, and Anirudh Ravichander, who visited him at the racing track in Abu Dhabi. The actor is expected to return to Chennai soon and resume work on his upcoming projects, including AK64 with director Adhik Ravichandran and an autobiographical project with AL Vijay.
