Shahrukh Khan National Award Film Making Its Way To Theatres After 37 Years

SRK Cult Classic Finally Releasing In Cinemas

Arundhati Roy's National Award winning film, In Which Annie Gives It Those Ones, is set to release in theatres across India in March 2026, after 37 long years. This cult classic, featuring one of Shah Rukh Khan's earliest roles, has been restored in 4K and is ready to captivate audiences once again.

The film, written by Roy and directed by Pradip Krishen, tells the story of Anand Grover, a fifth year architecture student struggling to clear his final thesis. Set in 1970s Delhi, the film captures the essence of student life, showcasing friendship, rebellion, and the simple joys of youth. Annie, the protagonist, is a complex character - confused, funny, and sometimes careless, but full of heart.

The film's restoration is a testament to the dedication of the Film Heritage Foundation and Shivendra Singh Dungarpur. The original 16mm negative was painstakingly restored, removing colour fading, scratches, and mould damage. The result is a vibrant 4K version that retains the film's original spirit.
