Farhan Akhtar is set to make his Hollywood debut with a bang, starring in Sam Mendes' four part biopic on the iconic rock band The Beatles. This historic project marks the first time four parts of a biopic will be released simultaneously in theaters, promising a unique cinematic experience. Farhan will play the role of Indian classical musician Ravi Shankar, a close friend and mentor to George Harrison, highlighting the band's transformative years and their connection to Indian music.

The film will explore Ravi Shankar's significant contribution to the band's musical journey, particularly his influence on George Harrison. The cast includes an impressive lineup of actors, such as Harris Dickinson as John Lennon, Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney, Joseph Quinn as George Harrison, and Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr. Other notable cast members include Saoirse Ronan as Linda McCartney, James Norton as Brian Epstein, and Anna Sawai as Yoko Ono.

The Beatles biopic is designed as a "bingeable theatrical experience," with each film telling the band's story from a different member's perspective. Filming is currently underway and expected to wrap later this year, followed by an extended post production phase. The global theatrical release is planned for April 2028, and fans are eagerly awaiting this monumental project.
