Mrunal Thakur has finally put an end to the wedding rumors with Dhanush, saying it's all just an April Fools' joke. In a recent interview, the Sita Ramam actress firmly denied the reports, stating she doesn't know who started the rumors. "I think February 14 is going to turn into April 1, April Fools' Day because I don't know who started this," she said.
The rumors began after Mrunal and Dhanush were spotted hugging at the premiere of Son of Sardaar 2, sparking dating speculation. However, Mrunal clarified she's not getting married and feels uneasy about the whole situation. "It's a scary space right now because some people are spreading rumors that 'Mrunal officially confirmed her marriage'," she added.
Mrunal is currently focusing on her career, with her upcoming film Do Deewane Seher Mein releasing on February 20, 2026, alongside Siddhant Chaturvedi. She's also working on the Telugu-Hindi bilingual film Dacoit, co-starring Adivi Sesh. A source close to Mrunal revealed she's busy with back-to-back releases and doesn't plan to get married anytime soon.
Dhanush, who's been rumored to be in a relationship with Mrunal, has also denied any wedding plans, stating he's focused on co-parenting his children with ex-wife Aishwarya Rajinikanth.
