Ram Charan Peddi Sets New Record with Overseas Rights Deal

Peddi Sets New Record

Ram Charan's upcoming film Peddi is making waves in the industry, with its overseas theatrical rights selling for a staggering ₹40-42 crore, making it one of the highest overseas deals for a Tollywood film. The film, directed by Buchi Babu Sana, is expected to break records, especially in the USA, where Ram Charan has a massive fan base.

The success of Peddi can be attributed to Ram Charan's global recognition post-RRR, Buchi Babu's impressive track record with Uppena, and the film's strong promotional content, including the viral song "Chikiri Chikiri". The film's pan-India potential, particularly in the USA, is also driving its record-breaking price.

Peddi's overseas rights deal is comparable to other big-budget Tollywood films, including Pushpa 2: The Rule, Kalki 2898 AD, and RRR. The film's cast, featuring Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, and Jagapathi Babu, along with A.R. Rahman's music, is adding to the excitement. The first single, "Chikiri Chikiri," was a hit, and the second single is expected to drop on Valentine's Day.

The film's release date is set for April 30, 2026, and expectations are sky-high. With its strong pre-release buzz, Peddi is poised to be a massive hit. The film's overseas breakeven target is estimated at $9 million, with the USA alone accounting for $6.5 million. The film's non-theatrical revenue, including satellite, music, and ancillary rights, is expected to fetch ₹75 crore, with Netflix acquiring the digital rights for ₹105 crore.
