Thalapathy Vijay's Jana Nayagan directed by H.Vinoth is carrying huge expectations as it happens to be Vijay's last film.
The film which was supposed to release during Pongal, on 9 Jan 2026, hit a roadblock due to censor row. With both parties knocking the court doors, the release started getting even more delayed. Now in the midst of all this, with both parties deciding to withdraw cases and reach for an amical out of the court settlement, it seems a ray of hope is coming to the makers.
The film will now be sent to the review committee. Inside talk is the film will now be reviewed by an Army Officer. Rumours have it that the makers may do away with the 20 minutes contentious scenes so that the film would be released smoothly. The makers are considering 20 Feb as the new release date.
The film stars Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Prakash Raj, Priyamani, Gautham Vasudev Menon, and Mamitha Baiju in important roles. The music for the film is tuned by Anirudh Ravichander.
