Laggam Time Telugu Movie Review

Laggam Time Movie Review

If you are in the mood for a breezy romantic entertainer that mixes workplace sparks with a chaotic wedding-day twist, Laggam Time is a solid pick. Directed by Prajoth K. Vennam, this film manages to take the "destined to be together" trope and give it a fresh, energetic spin. Here is its review:

Laggam Time Story:

The plot follows Surya (Rajesh Meru), a guy working in Pune who loses his heart to Ananya (Navya Chityala). Their story kicks off in the most bizarre way: a group of vigilantes catches them out late and tries to force a marriage, which somehow leads to them becoming office colleagues.

While the chemistry is definitely there, Ananya eventually ghosts Surya, leaving him totally baffled. Fast forward to Ananya’s wedding day, where she is set to marry someone else, and a series of rare, unexpected incidents turn everything upside down. It’s a race against time to see if destiny (and a bit of luck) can bring the original pair back together.

Laggam Time Performances:

Rajesh Meru plays Surya with a relatable vibe, especially when delivering lines in that fun Telangana slang. He shines in the "heroic spontaneity" moments that Ananya finds so impressive. Navya Chityala is equally good, portraying Ananya’s emotional turmoil and ache of separation with a lot of heart.

The supporting cast adds a ton of flavor. Nellore Sudharshan, playing the groom, is a comedic riot every time he is on screen. Surya’s friend provides plenty of laughs with his itch to find a hot woman, and the comedienne who constantly drops unintentional double-meaning gaffes through her mispronounced Telugu is a highlight that keeps the theater lively.

Laggam Time Technical Departments:

The movie looks and sounds great. Pavan’s music hits the right notes, especially the pre-climax emotional track. Cinematographer Pawan Guntuku captures the office life and the colorful chaos of the wedding scenes beautifully. Editor Vishwanath Koochanapalli keeps the pace snappy, ensuring the one-day narrative doesn't feel dragged out.

Laggam Time Analysis:

Director Prajoth K. Vennam deserves credit for keeping the narration tight. Using vigilantes as a catalyst for the romance was a clever move that immediately hooks the audience. The workplace scenes are some of the lightest parts of the film; an interview turning into a flirting session is genuinely hilarious and makes the romance feel organic rather than forced.

The film excels at putting its characters in tight spots. There is one particular situation where the leads have to wriggle out of a mess that seems impossible, and watching them navigate it over the course of a single day is super engaging. It follows the traditional template, complete with dramatic parents and involved friends, but adds enough situational comedy and Telangana flavor to keep it feeling modern.

If you enjoyed films like Pelli Choopulu for its natural dialogue or those rom-coms with a frantic, situational energy, Laggam Time will be right up your alley. It shares that DNA of accidental love found in classic rom-coms where the universe seems to conspire to bring two people together against all odds.

Laggam Time Verdict:

Laggam Time is a fun, feel-good ride that balances emotional longing with laugh-out-loud comedy. It’s the perfect popcorn flick for anyone who loves a good wedding-day drama with a happy ending.
