Prabhas' horror-comedy film, The Raja Saab, is set to stream on Jio Hotstar soon after its theatrical release on January 9, 2026. The digital rights of the film have been acquired by Jio Hotstar for a whopping ₹80 crore, covering all major language versions, including Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi.
The film's OTT release date is expected to be announced soon, likely between February 20 and March 6, 2026, considering the typical six to eight week window for theatrical films. The deal also includes a performance based bonus structure, where the producers will receive an additional ₹10 crore for every ₹100 crore earned at the worldwide box office beyond the ₹200 crore mark. But, Jio Hotstar is planning to bring Raja Saab earlier barring Hindi in other languages.
The Raja Saab, directed by Maruthi, showcases Prabhas in a unique genre, blending horror, comedy, and emotion. The story revolves around a young man who inherits an ancestral mansion believed to be haunted, with an emotional subplot involving the protagonist's grandmother, Gangadevi, who suffers from Alzheimer's disease.
The film boasts a star studded cast, including Sanjay Dutt, Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Zarina Wahab, with comic relief provided by Prabhas Srinu, Sapthagiri, Getup Srinu and VTV Ganesh. Thaman S composed the music, while Karthik Palani handled cinematography and Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao oversaw editing. The Raja Saab concluded its theatrical run at the box office with Rs 250 crores worldwide.
