RGV U Turn on Rahman Oscar song

The other day, Ram Gopal Varma made a shocking allegations that AR.Rahman didnot tune the song Jai Ho from Slumdog Millionnaire but instead he brought it from the singer Sukhwinder Singh.

Jai Ho won an Academy Award in the Best Original Score and Best Original Song categories. It is sung by Rahman, Sukhwinder Singh, Tanvi, Mahalakshmi Iyer, and Vijay Prakash. The film featured Anil Kapoor, Irrfan Khan, Dev Patel, Freida Pinto, Madhur Mittal, Imran Hasnee, Mahesh Manjrekar, Shruti Seth, Saurabh Shukla, and Raj Zutshi.

This left all shellshocked and even as discussions are intensifying, Ram Gopal Varma came up with a clarification in a virtual u turn.

He posted  "To all concerned .. I am being misquoted and misread out of context in the matter of the Jai ho song . .. in my view @arrahman is the greatest composer and the nicest human being I ever met and he’s the last person to take away anybody’s credit ..I hope this puts an end to the negativism surrounding the issue (sic)."

It is known that Ram Gopal Varma and Rahman collaborated for the blocbuster film Rangeela.
