Nagarjuna missed Dhurandhar. Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar directed by Aditya Dhar is on a record breaking spree at the box office. It became the highest grosser in 2025 and is still going strong. Now movie lovers are waiting eagerly for the film's second part which will be releasing on 19 March 2026.
Ahead of it, the film's second part teaser will be released along with Border 2 which is releasing on 23 Jan 2026. In the meantime, it is coming out that Nagarjuna missed a key role in Dhurandhar.
Aditya Dhar felt that Nagarjuna will be apt for the menacing and powerful antagonist and planned to show Nagarjuna in a completely different manner. He even contacted Nagarjuna for the role but Nagarjuna couldn't do the film as he already got busy with Rajinikanth's Coolie and Dhanush's Kuberaa.
Nagarjuna couldn't do the role due to his prior commitments though he fell in love with the role the moment he heard the narration. Finally the role went to Akshaye Khanna who is winning all the accolades for his performance. Akkineni fans are extremely disappointed with the turn of events.
