The film was later remade into Dhruva with Ram Charan in the lead role. Surender Reddy directed the remake. Now, speaking to scribes, Thani Oruvan director Mohan Raja made startling revelations.
He said he penned the story keeping Prabhas in the mind. He added that for some reason the project did not materialise and then Ravi Mohan joined the project and rest turned out to be a history. Fans of Prabhas are now wondering why Prabhas did not do Thani Oruvan and had he done, it would have been a sensation.
Currently Prabhas is busy with projects like Fauji, Spirit and sequels to Kalki 2898AD and Salaar. His recent release The Raja Saab failed to set the screens on fire at the box office.
