Mohanlal and Tharun Moorthy's highly anticipated collaboration, L366, is set to begin shooting on January 23. The film marks the duo's second project together, following the massive success of Thudarum in 2025. Initially announced as L365, the project has undergone changes, with Moorthy taking over as director in December 2025.
Despite script changes, L366 is touted as a fresh project, with Ratheesh Ravi continuing as writer. The film revolves around a police investigation, with Mohanlal playing a cop. The team boasts impressive talent, including Shaji Kumar as cinematographer, Vivek Harshan as editor, Jakes Bejoy as music composer, and Vishnu Govind as sound designer.
The film's shoot will reportedly begin at Thodupuzha, with Mohanlal returning after Drishyam 3. Unconfirmed reports suggest Meera Jasmine will play the female lead, reuniting with Mohanlal after Hridayapoorvam in a cameo. Produced by Ashiq Usman, L366 promises to be an edge of the seat experience, given the strong lineup.
Director Tharun Moorthy confirmed the update on social media, sharing a script image with the caption: “Yes, it’s officially #L366. Write. Rewrite. Write. Rewrite. Finally locked… to rewrite once again .” The suspense thriller is set to release on April 2, with fans eagerly awaiting the Mohanlal Meera Jasmine reunion.
