The Raja Saab Disappointing Run

TRS Struggling In Hindi

Prabhas' latest film, The Raja Saab, is facing a major crisis at the box office. Despite having a strong market in North India, the film's Hindi version has flopped, collecting only 6 Cr nett on the opening day, followed by 5 Cr on day 2, and 4 Cr on day 3. The film's poor performance has shocked everyone, especially considering Prabhas' popularity in the region.

In a bid to boost ticket sales, the team of The Raja Saab has introduced a 92 Rs ticket offer for the Hindi version, exclusively for North India, valid only for January 13. This move is seen as a desperate attempt to revive the film's fortunes, as it has failed to generate buzz and received mixed reviews. The film's production costs are estimated to be over Rs. 400 crore, making its recovery highly dependent on theatrical revenue.

The Raja Saab's poor performance is not limited to Hindi; it's underwelling across all regions, including Telugu states. The film's worldwide box office gross stands at Rs. 180 crore as per producers, with overseas collections plummeting to USD 225K on Sunday. The Sankranti holidays may provide some respite, but the film's fate seems sealed.
