Jana Nayagan lands in censor trouble

Jana Nayagan in censor row

Thalapathi Vijay's Jana Nayagan directed by H. Vinoth is racing for release on 9 January. Movie lovers are waiting eagerly for the film's release as it happens to be Vijay's last film.

In the meantime, the film was not given censor certificate and this delay is hampering the Jana Nayagan's advance bookings. Sources say the members of the censor board are not giving the clearance as the film has political dialogues.

In the meantime, Jana Nayagan makers, KVN Productions approached the Madras High Court over the censor delay and argued that the film is deemed to get U/A certificate as they have complied to the cuts and only censor certification is pending. The Madras High Court heard the petition in which the makers informed the court that they have got censor clearance in 25 countries and only in India it is pending.

The petitioner said "For any revision, there is a procedure laid down,". They did "Only the administrative act of issuing the certificate alone is pending,"

Now all eyes are on what the High Court will decide on the issue.
