In an interview before the film's release, she revealed that she wished she was a guy after reading the script, highlighting its exceptional quality. "When I read his next script, I told him that it was one of those rare moments when I wished I was a guy. The script is so brilliant. It’s such an amazing world," she shared.
Yami also emphasized the importance of maintaining a professional distance, despite being married to the director. "We respect that professional line. I don’t think that line should be blurred. We’re very clear about it," she stated, adding that she would be fine with Aditya casting someone else if they fit the role better.
